End of Semester

Things to remember as the semester is ending…

• All work not picked up during our final time will be available in the Art Office until May 7.   After the 7th it’s gone forever.
• If you have files stored on the ArtServer, they will be deleted on May 4th.  Please back up any files you want to keep.
• The Course Evaluation forms are available.  Please take the time to complete the form.  I really do read these.

World Pinhole Day

This Sunday, April 25, is World Pinhole Day.

You are welcome to join my Alternative Process class at Presque Isle Park Sunday afternoon at the Senior Pavillion next to the Nature Center.  We will be making pinhole images as part of the celebration.  Feel free to bring food as well, though no alcohol is allowed in the park.

Final Portfolios

If you haven’t already done so, please put your final images and statement on the server.  If you are having problems, please let me know as soon as possible.

Hundreds of photographers are getting ready to take a picture at one moment on Sunday, May 2. Here’s how you can join the project.

Finals Week

Our Final times are:

Monday class to meet on Tuesday April 27 10 – 11:50AM.

Tuesday class to meet on Wednesday April 28 10 – 11:50AM.

I will be returning your final portfolios and any other work I might have from this semester.

Comments

I just received an email from Jack Potts, Jackson’s dad.  He is putting together a book for Jackson about the image and it’s contrversy and was hoping to use some of your comments.  I told him that I would have to check with those of you who posted comments first.  Please email me and let me know if it’s ok with you.

Schedule

Just a reminder, the rest of the semester goes like this…

Due April 3 by midnight – Email me your Powerpoint file with two images from each of your artists.  The template is on the assignment page.

April 5&6 – Artist Research Paper presentations in class.  Email me your paper and a draft of your final portfolio artist’s statement by midnight the day of your class.

April 7&8 – Work in progress critique.  Bring your images and a statement draft.

April 12&13 – TBA

April 14&15 – I’m out of town, no classes

April 19-22 – Final Portfolio Critiques
